Whittle Family Dentistry - A State-of-the-Art Practice with Down-Home Care!
FAMILY is our middle name for more than one reason. Dr. William C. Whittle, recognized multiple times as a Top Dentist of Fort Worth, has been in practice for 40 years. His son, William D. Whittle, a practicing dentist since 2008, joined Whittle Family Dentistry in 2017. His daughter, Meredith, has been with the practice as a dental hygienist since 2005.
Healthcare runs in the family as Doc’s second son James, although not a member of the dental practice, serves as a Dallas firefighter and paramedic. In addition to the immediate Whittle tribe, you’ll find the entire staff of Whittle Family Dentistry to be kindred spirits with one goal in mind, to provide every member of your family with extraordinary care in the areas of general, cosmetic and restorative dental care in a relaxed, homespun environment.
Dr. William C. Whittle
Dr. Whittle, aka “Doc” is a Fort Worth native. He graduated from Texas Christian University in 1976 and earned his D.D.S. degree in 1979 from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. Doc served a two-year residency in general practice in the U.S. Public Health Service before opening a private dental practice in 1981.
Doc is happily married to his best friend, Dee Dee, and is the proud father of six adult children. He is known as “Poppa” to his eleven grandchildren. Doc, always the perfectionist, sees his patients as extended family members and strives to provide everyone with the best care possible. When it comes to his passion for dentistry, Doc believes in “treating people, not just teeth.”
Doc is known as the sort of “Renaissance man” because of his various pastimes. He formerly engineered the Six Flags train as well as the Grapevine Vintage Railroad steam locomotive. He is a member of the Vocal Majority, an internationally recognized barbershop harmony chorus.
Doc is also an amazing cook and woodworker and, some would say, quite the comedian.
Dr. William D. Whittle
Dr. Whittle, aka the Young Dr. Whittle, graduated from Texas Christian University in 2002 and Baylor College of Dentistry in 2008. He was awarded several prestigious honors including being inducted into the Baylor College of Dentistry Odonatological and Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor societies. After graduation, Dr. Whittle worked for Monarch Dental (2008-2014) and Burleson Modern Dentistry (2014-2017) before joining the team at Whittle Family Dentistry in 2017.
The Young Dr. Whittle earned the rank of Eagle Scout in 1997 and achieved his black belt in karate the same year. We lovingly call him Superman. Dr. Whittle is married to his amazing wife, Kristi (who is as smart as he is). He is a dedicated dad to four delightful children. Dr. Whittle, an avid reader since childhood, still reads like there’s no tomorrow, still practices and teaches karate, and loves the challenge of continuing dental education opportunities. He shares his dad’s philosophy of and passion for quality dental healthcare.
